London took another step forward, with the wings glued together, I took advantage of the momentum and built the floats.

Good work Perecles. Did you strengthen the struts at all or were they fine as two layers of card?

Siwi, your model is being done wonderfull! Pericles too, of course!

The 1/100 scale doesn't include the request of reinforcementes, because the reinforcements are more for my need that my models can resist a fall from a table and not because they need need it. 1/100 is lightweight enougth that just the paper and glue allows this "oops" requisite.

When I reinforce my models, I use a pin or sewing needle to puncture the wings were the wire will go trough.

Thank you friends!

this week I have had little time to work on the models. But I did something else at London.
Talking to Draco, really in the 1/100 scale it's not always necessary reinforcements and mounts and when I do them in general they are "souls" of cardboard that reinforce internally. To cut strips I use a filleter that I have already demonstrated here on the forum on other occasions.
Build the central section of the upper wing it will serve to align the construction of the central struts which are cabane shaped.

Next updates soon.

I do reccomend using some kind of reinforcement on the struts. The upper wing is quite large with several internal formers and with the engines added it does have a bit of weight on my 1/72 model, probably also in 1/100 scale.

I would have advised actually leaving the floats off until last, as they are directly under the wing struts and you might need to press the tabs with a finger under the wing. But you'll be fine using tweezers I guess.

As I said before, all struts have internal stiffened cardboard reinforcements, which is enough for the 1/100 scale and is the same technique used in Stranraer that I have already demonstrated here on the forum.

The model has the general assembly built, today I will add all the cables.

The way I prepare my biplane builds leaves it immobilized to manipulate with jigs so there is no risk of having problems with the wing floats.

Well friends!

Here's the finished model, it didn't have major modifications except the engine reduction boxes that were made with cardboard and are not in exact scale. It's a very interesting plane like the Stranraer.
