I see what you mean. Hoewever the contour is smooth, not with a sharp buckle. It is probably a minor detail.

There has been more advances. The new profile has been placed (being this the alpha test model has some damage from repairs that yours will not have). The rear turret has been done, but it's too complex, I'll redesing it to become easier to do. I was planning to paint the register over the hull, but I ended doing a test using extra-thin photograpic paper as decals. Same with the emblem under the cockpit ant the one in the tails. The outcome was satisfactory, so it's posible that I use it on another alpha models. Again, your will have it included in the color sheet, so no problem. About the tail, there will be censored and uncensored versions.

At last the hull is finished!
The rear keel and the endings of the pontoons are designed and tested. Now comes a small break of a few days! Uff! (Breathing hard) A break!

Designing the engines, redesigning the rear turret...
Taking it easy The Do-24t has a central nacelle that is a little higher than the lateral ones.

This all looks great Draco. It's going to be a very realistic model.

Thanks, Siwi, thanks, gomidefilho!
Yes, it's going to be very detailed, including the cleats. I'm redefining my approach to the paper models. Ive been making them the more realistic and best researched possible... It doesn't work. For now, the only Do-24t scale 1/100 is going to be made specially for gomidefilho. And half of the versions being researched to be released won't. I won't be making the Do-24ATT either. Meanwhile, I'm working on the engines. The propellers will turn freely.

Still designing/assembling the cowls of the three engines. I think that the lower center side of the wing is going to be the most complex section of the plane.
Even so, doing it with calm there won't be any problem. So I have the basic form done, now comes the radiators, the placement of the struts, the "handles" over the cowls, the flaps and alerons actuators, and the remaining details under the wing. Somebody who loves to improve his model (yes, Siwi, I'm seen you) would like to make his with the crane bay open. An interesting detail: DJ+ZM doen't have the radio mast on the right cowl. Some has only one and most has the three of them.

As ever, some wonderful detail on the surfaces with all the rivets and panel lines. Just from the point of view of the average 'out of the box' modeller, would it be possible to have some holes that can be cut in the engine nacelles and the wings in order to locate the struts, which could have a central former? The hardest part of most biplane builds is persuading the struts and the two sets of wings to stay in the right place whilst the glue sets.
Depending on the scale, it might be a project to recreate this picture with the crew standing on the wing and out of the hatches... |

I tend to open a hole with a pin in the nacelles and put a thin wire protrunding from the struts, that way they stay were they need it and the plane is more stronger. You can see it in this picture of an unfinished Swordfish. In this case the wire can be seen on purpose, but it's the same idea.
