Ray sez: "Now you're just making up words Don" [I corrected the [ahem] spelling .]

Well, yes. You may have missed my disquisition on the useful word "Fomby" invented by me and my friend Jim Reuter (JimR in this Forum) when we were teenagers in the 1950s to describe any piece of machinery that is ugly, but appealing -- A-10s, Russian tanks with more than five turrets, 1920s Mack and Scammell trucks, Victorian battleships and armored cruisers, Fairey Barracudas, many steam engines, and almost any Fleet Air Arm aircraft of the 1920s and 30s except the Fairey IIIF and the Hawker Nimrod.

It came from a side view in the Harleyford book on aircraft camouflage of an RAF Coastal Command Wellington with stickleback antennas, a chin radar, and Leigh light installation, and having the unit code "MBY" and the aircraft letter "F" so that, with the roundel, it spelled out "FOMBY."

"It certainly IS Fomby," said Jim.

And so it was.

Don

My apologies for the hijack, Bob, but I hope that I have provided a useful term of art in describing the kind of airplanes you often build -- especially your Magnificent Men series. Now that's Fomby!

No problem Don:D I've discovered doing clear canopies and windows opens up whole new "windows" of possibilities. So just wanted to share some of the light aircraft I've tried to detail without starting a whole new thread

Hope you enjoy the pics

The last two I've tried detailing the interiors.
1938 ERCOUPE

When I shot these pictures I forgot to install the prop
The prop is on now however

Beechcraft Bonanza. 'V' tail.

I jumped the gun on these two I took the pictures before I put the props on and the antennas on the Bonanza:(
