Thanks PE. These models are pure fun with the added bonus of the only cost being the printing!

Ooo, nice to see this built, thanks Rata! I was tempted to go with the hi-vis red/white/blue roundel but the accurate low-vis version won out.

I really should get back to those boxy Philippine civilian aircraft I mentioned before, but I got distracted by kitbashing the Kohnan Electric buses and Nahan truck chassis into 1950-1970 bonnet trucks, since all of Nahan's trucks are later model flat-nosed cabovers. Kohnan Electric's Iwamoto-san is watching with interest!

A lot of my vehicle recolors have been done with an eye towards populating my long-planned N-scale Philippine model railroad - many flashy cars like Camaros in paper, but very few buses and trucks for that period. I'm sure I'll find a place for the occasional helicopter.

No worries. I've got your Cessna 208 printed as well. Will show on here at some point down the track.

Next up is an English Electric -license built in Australia by Govt Aircraft Factories (GAF)-Canberra.

Another S&P 1/300 original repainted by Cafe.

Other photos are of a couple of criminally neglected GAF Canberras out in the open here in Willowbank, Queensland. One (A84-238) is displayed on pylons near the entrance of all things a caravan park; with the other(A84-248- the last Canberra built by GAF) is laying in a field nearby.
Both entered service in 1958 and are decaying and vandalised. But what really is disgraceful is a), the fact both served in Vietnam with RAAF 2 Sqn (attached to the USAF 35th TFW) between 1967 and 1971 and B), their close proximity to RAAF Amberley.

Excellent Canberra.

This may be casting the net too wide, but it reminds me that I once (spring of 1967) sat in the back seat of an RAAF O-1 piloted by my friend Sqd Ldr Rex Ramsey as he directed the air strikes of USAF F-100s and B-57s (probably from the 8th or 13th Tactical Bomb Squadron out of Bien Hoa). Relevance: RAAF in Vietnam and Canberras (albeit Yank Canberras).

Thanks Don and Péricles. Speaking of ''Yank Canberras'', investigating whether my repainting skills extend to producing a RB-57 with it's long span wings, extended hooter and bypass-type engines.

In the meantime, here's a modified and rescaled Bruno 1/300: Pan Am Boeing 307 Stratoliner.

Very impressive 307. Looks good on the stand as if in flight.
