Scadta operated 2 Dornier Wal, The "Atlantico" and "Pacifico". The "Atlantico" was constructed by the CMASA in Marina di Pisa for Colombia, shipped to Curacao and was assembled there. The "Atlantico" was probably also the first plane on Curacao. Active for the SCADTA in Colombia and Middle America and Florida ( USA). From Colombia shipped to Germany. Reequiped in Germany for Brazil and became the first commercial passenger plane in Brazil

May 1946, when the first Douglas DC-4 with Colombian registration C-112, arrived at the Techo airport in the city of Bogotá. This was the first transferred from Pan American Airways. It was the beginning of an era in which AVIANCA, having reached an agreement with Pan American itself, resumed international routes, taking advantage of the traffic rights awarded to the airline in the first air transport agreements signed by Colombia.

Some nicely finished planes here. Might have to look at some repaints of Bruno's 1/300 subjects methinks....

Junkers W34? I've been looking for a decent model of one forever (along with other Junkers planes from that era). Your model? It looks really good except for floats. They seem too small by quite a bit.

Check this website, - Zeist Bouwplaten - Import, verkoop, ontwerp en productie van papieren schaalmodellen, maquettes en bouwplaten (cardmodels), Modelbouw, Rietveld cutoutmodels

He has a beautiful but rather complex DC-4 in Avianca livery. Extremely accurate rendition but not easy to build. Worth building if you have plenty of time.

The W34 Junkes replaced the W33, The first W-34 arrived in Colombia in 1929 through the Colombian-German Air Transport Society (SCADTA) with the purpose of increasing its air fleet and improving service. As a result of the conflict with Peru in 1932, the national government ordered the transfer of seven aircraft to military aviation, where they operated with numbers 401 to 407 in missions of transporting passengers, cargo, mail, evacuation, relief, liaison and reconnaissance, for which it was necessary to adapt landing gear with wheels or floats. At the end of the conflict, the W-34s were assigned to the Tres Esquinas Air Base in Caquetá and Palanquero in Puerto Salgar.
