He has a beautiful but rather complex DC-4 in Avianca livery. Extremely accurate rendition but not easy to build. Worth building if you have plenty of time.
that the best DC-4 paper model, I´ll be putting together that paper trade one one of these days!!

The model here represents the Colombia, which was a 3rd Wal owned by Scadta, it was transferred to the Colombian air force in 1932 to fight during the conflict with Peru, it took the name FAC-603, it crashed in 25.Nov.1934

Avianca entered the jet age with the Boeing 720 aircraft. Coming from Pan American World Airways and Lufthansa, the 720 operated at Avianca until the early 1980s

The DC-3 arrived in Colombia for the first time, thanks to Avianca, which introduced its first units of this early model at the time, starting in 1940, the first being registered as C-100 (HK-100) – C-101 ( HK-101) – C-102 (HK-102).
AVIANCA had around 64 DC-3´s

SACO, with financial support, soon purchased a pair of modern Curtiss T-32 Condor aircraft, with a capacity for 18 passengers. Colombian registrations C-35 and C-36 were assigned to the Curtiss T-32s. On October 27, 1939, in a special session of the shareholders' meeting, the merger of SCADTA with SACO was carried out, a fact that was ratified on February 23, 1940.*
With the merger of SCADTA and SACO, a new company was created, which was called Aerovas Nacionales de Colombia AVIANCA, a fact that was formalized on June 14, 1940.*
Avianca emerged triumphant by starting its operations without competition in the country and incorporating the small fleets of Curtiss Cóndor and Lockheed Electra from SACO.

The Fokker Super Universal was a commercial aircraft produced in the United States in the late 1920s. As an improved and slightly larger version of the Fokker Universal, it would also be manufactured under license in Canada and Japan.
Just like its predecessor, it was a high-wing cantilever monoplane, with a conventional landing gear and a fully enclosed cockpit and passengers. Although its standard equipment included wheels and a tail skid, it could easily be fitted with floating pontoons for use as a seaplane.

SCADTA began to receive the first wheeled aircraft such as the Fokker Universal, only two operated with the airline:

-C-44 ‘Medellín’ Fokker Super Universal 00.01.1931-15.Dec.1932 s/n 828 Crashed in Bogotá (La Mesa) 15.Dec.1932

-C-48 ‘Bogotá’ Fokker Super Universal 18.Nov.1932-31.Oct.1934 s/n 880 Crashed 31.Oct.1934

Pictures 8,9,10 of DC-3- are those very, very early production DC-3 or lacaly repaired hybrids ? They still seem to have engines and engine nacelles from DC-2.

Great collection and excellent work on recolors.

Thank you !!!, the R-1820 was at the heart of many famous aircraft including early Douglas airliners, the prototype DC-1, the DC-2, the first civil versions of the DC-3, Avianca´s first DC-3s had the R-1820
