Smile Heinkel He-115 1/100 Models by Draco - beta test

Well friends!

I present another beta test project for our friend Draco. This time it is the He-115 seaplane, one of the first models designed by our friend, which he has now created a 1/100 version "glued by numbers" as he likes to say.

The He-115 was developed in 1935 at the request of the RLM into a multipurpose seaplane capable of anti-ship attack capable of carrying bombs, torpedoes or mines. It was used by the Luftwaffe especially against Allied convoys when they lacked anti-aircraft protection and also to mine enemy waters as well as infiltrate secret agents behind enemy lines. Norway, Sweden and Finland also used this versatile aircraft, with Norwegian planes delivered just before the war having a fascinating existence. A handful of them escaped to England, being used by the RAF maneuvered by Norwegians against the Germans off the coast of occupied Norway, as well as for covert operations along the lines of what the Luftwaffe's KG-200 did with its He-115s.

Draco's model follows the traditional form of this design with many formers, generally quite accurate. We started by laminating the internal parts.

Thank you Don my friend! I really like this plane, I intend to build constantly but slowly.

Well friends!

We have been working these days on the He-115's floats, by far the most complex parts of the entire model so far, the internal structuring requires a good alignment, doing this, the construction is smooth.

A small explanation about my 1/100 models: while they are similar to the ones at 1/72 scale, they are redesigned and some parts are remade, joined or removed.

The complex shapes of floats are tricky to build, not to mention design. You've done a neat job in small scale.
