1/33 Hudson Mk. V | No. 48 Squadron, RAF Coastal Command, Outer Hebrides 1941
I began to work on Hudson Mk. V - the winner of the recent poll.
The model comes from the Model Card nr 24 and is in scale 1/33. It represents a plane of No. 48 Squadron, RAF Coastal Command, Outer Hebrides 1941. In the future work-in-progress updates, I'll share with you more thoughts and details.

Good-looking "slime and sewage" color scheme on this historic airplane.
And a good beginning to your build with your usual clean and precise artisanship. Don |

First update. Considerable progress has been made.
The model has some issues. Not everything fits as it should be. The internal formers have to be "sandpapered" a lot to fit properly. Fuselage segments require some changes and adjustments. They are intended to be glued together "former to former", without any joiner stripes. I've decided to add those stripes as they help to make the fuselage smoother. Paper glazing is preffered in this Hudson. Therefore, there is an error when you want to make transparent glazing. There is no descent(stairs) from the cockpit to the nose. Unfortunately, I realized it too late, because you can do this descent with your own invention. Elements in some photos are only dry-fitted, not glued yet. More soon.

Although some of the images are slightly out of focus on my computer, it is clear that you are overcoming the obstacles and doing your usual fine job of assembling this model of a historic and good-looking airplane.

Second update.
Don, some images are indeed out of focus, that is my fault. I took them very quickly and didn't choose the right settings in my camera. This time it should be better in this aspect. Anyway, the work goes slowly forward. This model is another example of what is a constant fight with design's inaccuracies. Pictures will explain a lot I think. Elements in some photos are only dry-fitted, not glued yet.

Zenon, your high quality work more than fixes the design inaccuracies, really like the subject

Ingeniously simple solution to glazing that turret. I'd have been messing around with clay moulds and a heat gun.

Third update(and the last one).
Only a few work-in-progress photos. The model is almost done, soon I'll post the final results.
