Thanks, Gregory and Tino
@Gregory - I use two kinds of glue: white glue in most cases and all-purpose (cellulosic) glue for larger surfaces, as white glue is water based easily deforms the paper. Both of them UHU. The secret, if there is one, is not to use too much glue |

Thank you, I will keep that in mind and am sure that I can greatly improve in that regard! Cheers!

A beauty of a model of a beauty of an airplane. Congrats on POTM.
One thing I really enjoy about this hobby is the details that pop out. Like, what is the chute behind the airscoop and in front of the tail wheel? Is it part of the intercooler?, part of the flaps?, brass disposal (showing my Navy gun bias)? I cannot find any mention of it on the world's knowledge repository. Again, congrats and thanks. al |

Oh, ha, I see that UHU All Purpose Adhesive isn't exactly non-toxic. I was thinking of methyl cellulose glue, though that's water-based. Wonder whether this new alcohol-based Klucel G glue would work.

There is zero evidence of this, the CA-15 also has relatively stubby but deep chord wings. Some Spitfires had cropped wings but that wing is not laminar in nature. |

Supermarine Spitfire variants & photos - Military Airshows.
See the data about the Spitfire VI (Left column) and Spitfire V (Center column). Ok, if you are talking only about the Mb-5, we are tailking about a prototype, a lot of documentation could be lost or simply that detail was assumed (and yes, I know the joke). Let's say that I have not the time or patiece to do a search and that you are right.
