Miles M.52

Hello,

I started to create a paper kit of the Miles M.52. This is the current status. Probably I'll rework the wings but before that I have to finish the plane with the landing gear.

Cheers!

Wolfgang

That is really an eye catching aircraft with an interesting history. Excellent job on the design and execution of the model. Will your kit be available as an e-model? I number of years ago I recolored and built a simple 1/72 version of this fascinating aircraft that was designed by forum member Dragos. I would love to have a more detailed version

I will release the kit as a free download in a few weeks. I have to rework some parts, numbering, instructions, etc.

Cool technical suggestions

Wolfgang

It appears that the wings on your model are flat plates. May I suggest that they more closely resemble an airfoil ( even though it is a thin airfoil ),

Also, from an artistic view point, if you can color shade the plane with various panels, control surfaces etc. it would be eye catching.

Thanks for sharing this unusual jet ( not a conventional jet engine I know ).

Thank you for your input. I'm quite satisfied with the wing profile. The wings were extremely thin - they were tested in real in 1944 with a low-speed Miles M.3B Falcon Six ("Gillette Falcon"). I'm not happy with the wing leading edge. It ist curved, not straight like my version of it.

And I will add some maintenance covers and rows of rivets.
