Finnish MiG-21Bis in 1:200
First test-build of the MiG-21Bis !
I'm not fully happy with it. It may have been my clumsiness with marking the folds but I had issues with the canopy/spine junction. At least the camo aligns mostly properly. The build started with an accident. I cut the central fuselage into 3 bits. Oops! You can see the main cut on the left side (that very visible white line). I have a second example in metal livery and generic soviet markings that I'll probably build tomorrow before I decide if it can be released. And this time, all parts go in the tin box after cutting. No more accidents like today's! The last 2 pics show it with an Angolan MiG-21MF.

Yes! Another important and welcome addition to the MiG-21 stable Carlos.
I've got a page full of your other 1/200 -21s (I think I managed to squeeze seven on there!) printed and waiting to build. Looking forward to them.

Thank you.
7 on a single page? The best I can mange is 3, maybe 4 if I squeeze them. I've added a few MiG-21M and MF to the download section (1 Czechoslovak, 1 East- German and 3 Indians). Boring metal scheme but one of them has blue and yellow spots on the upper surfaces.

There was a duplicate CSSR file and one of the indian files was missing. It's corrected now.
I've added 2 east german MiG-21PF as a separate download. One in camo and the other in metal livery. The camo is untested.

I've added a few files to that second download :
- a 5th CSSR MF in camo and with the SPS-141 pod) - a soviet MiG-21PFS - the Ye-7SPS (mostly identical to the PFS) - The MiG-21PF modified as a demonstrator for the broad chord fin that wold be used on the FL and later PFS/PFM. That one can also be built as the Ye-7M (which would be mostly identical to a late production MiG-21PFS or PFM. The latter template was originally labeled as Ye-7M but I noticed some incoherences in my source with the profile labeled as Ye-7M differing from the pictures actually showing the Ye-7M. I think the profile actually shows the enlarged fin demonstrator. Did some parts swapping and added a PFM fin.

Thanks Carlos.
I was contemplating what model to do for my next 1/200. After viewing this thread I decided on your Hungarian AF MiG-21MF. I'll post pics over on my 1/200 thread when done. Many thanks again for all you've shared with us over the years mate. Garry G.

I don't think I released the hungarian MiG-21MF. The camo didn't line up between the fuselage and the spine on my first build. Here is the 2nd version (untested):

Interesting. It was this one attached. Don't know where I got it from!
Anyway, I'll do your new one instead. But as I have to get to the print shop first, I'll do another one that I've actually printed. Maybe your DDR camo MiG-21U two seater.
