The Tiger Moth is first and foremost a butterfly. Mr. De Havilland, being passionate about entomology, gave the name of this insect to one of his most famous planes: the De Havilland DH-82 Tiger Moth. Then, do not be surprised to meet a Tiger Moth (the plane) wearing the colors of the Tiger Moth (the butterfly)! |
