I will certainly do a jig to glue the struts in the center of the fuselage, since the other struts support the wing. This project is temporarily on hold, I need to clean up the workbench, I'm short on work time at the moment for the hobby.

But thanks for the tips and warnings.

I'm pretty sure that you'll make the final glue of wings and fuselage in less than a minute. I found it easier than gluing a landing gear, for example.

After many months off, I resumed construction of the Dornier Do-24, at a time when I feel motivated again to resume this project.

As I am not committed to any deadline, I am summarizing the construction where we left off: the wings. In the photos I am preparing the internal structure of the wings with 3 mm cardboard, the cuts need to be very precise, but we will still certainly have rectifications that will be done with sandpaper.

Last night we prepared the internal structure of the central wing section of the Dornier Do-24. Alejandro, as usual, designed very well thought out structures that fit together without any problems, as long as the correct weights on the cardboard are observed (for 1/100 the ideal is 2 mm to 3 mm).

For safe handling, critical parts are dried with the help of small paper clips. The set will still have its edges sanded for rectification and adjustments before gluing the coating.

On Sunday night I coated the central section of the wing of the Dornier 24, although it was always a delicate process, it went without any major problems. This week we will try to finish the wing as a whole.

Pericles, a small observation: the parts that say "upper wing reinforcement" are supposed to go in the upper wing side. They are there to keep the upper side of the skin with the right curved shape.
See the W9 location in this picture, too. Anyway you are doing a wonderfull work!!!!!!

I understood, I made an error in interpretation, but in any case my purpose also served, because it reinforced and aligned the internal structures, I use very little glue and in general vinyl glue for this task so the fact of having a larger gluing area on the 1/100 scale ends up not being essential.

But thanks for the warning.

Yes, your wing looks wonderfull, it was more for the future modelers that would want to assemble this plane.

I did the same thing on the test build and used these as a wing re-enforcement and corner setting pieces. It does a very good job of making the wing strong and in line.
