This week I finished attaching the outer wing sections of the Do-24. The gluing had to be careful to avoid warping and taking care of the slight dihedral that the wing has, despite the process taking a long time, I was satisfied with the results. The Me-109E serves as a comparison to show how the Do-24 is a large aircraft in terms of size. Now I will move on to the engine nacelles and soon we will be able to join the wing/fuselage.

Looking GOOD!!!!
I love how the landing light looks like if it had been cut and replaced with a glass.

Having stopped since September last year, we resumed the Dornier 24 project. I started building the nacelle frames, starting with the central one, which fit perfectly, with a minimum of grinding with sandpaper.

An interesting comparison: the wing of the Do-24 and the PBY Catalina in the same scale.

After a long time with the Do-24 stopped again, we resumed the assembly by installing the nacelle skins and joining the fuselage/wing assemblies.

The methods are the same as those described throughout this topic, the model fits very well and owes absolutely nothing. Tomorrow I hope to make significant progress, installing a series of details before moving on to the engines and final finishes.

Still out of curiosity, I leave the comparison with the Catalina wing on the same scale.

The Catalina was a big bird!

Fine work on the Dornier.
