Wow! This is an unexpected and very welcome surprise. I am very glad that you built this rare airplane, Péricles. It's a real beauty.

Thanks Mike!

The next is a new MiG-21, but at this time I full documented the build in the thread.

Smile Small Tutorial how to build 1/200 model and MiG-21.

Well friends!

As promised I'm going to make a small tutorial with some observations on how I build a small 1/200 scale model.

First, I wanted to say that any model can be reduced to scale, but it needs to be simplified. So 1/100 models from Bruno, Fiddlers Green, DGA are excellent subjects for this reduction. (Apart from the hundreds of models that already exist in the scale). 1/33 models require more study and modifications and it is not always possible to make these reductions.

A golden tip I can give is about paper weight. I use 90 gsm offset paper for 90% of my projects, it is the common printer presentation paper for home and office use. In Brazil it is easily found in supermarkets, computer stores and stationery stores. Although my collection is still small, I think for larger projects (example: B-36, B-52, Lun Ekranoplan, Antonov An-225) I think the paper I use for 1/100 scale (120 gsm) is adequate.

In the photo we see parts of the MiG-21, one of the numerous versions designed and repainted by Cafe in native 1/200 scale. This model with practice is buildable in a couple of hours.

Here we see the construction of the fuselage, I won't focus on the tools used, but on the construction sequence. The parts have been formed, it is important to place the air intake diffuser before placing the paper ballast (yes 1/200 models can sit on the tail). Later we build the spine with the cockpit and then the vertical tail.

We build the wings and tail. Our friend Cafe invented an interesting way to make the MiG-21 wing chord, with a coupling (male/female), it is important to make the coupling hole with the fuselage section already built. The stabilizers were also placed in their place, checking with references (in this case photographs of the real plane).
The wheel holds and landing gear doors are laminated with (inner and outer face) and the "hold" is glued to the fuselage (an ingenious idea too).

Finally, we put the landing gear legs, wheels and mounting and armament points in position. I suggest laminating the wheels with 2mm card stock. I usually smear the landing gear legs with CA glue to give them rigidity (even a 1/200 model can work the paper with the weight). Cafe depending on the version of the MiG-21 offers a plethora of armaments, I chose in this case to arm my MiG-21 with two multiple rocket launchers. (these are in 2D, because really at 1/200 it's hard to make weapon models because of the size). The last detail was the pitot tube which is made in this fineness with a dry stroke of a #11 blade.

As with the 1/100 models, it is also necessary to paint white edges or flaws despite the small size. We apply a varnish and the model is finished.

And the Circo's next attraction is again a MiG-21, this time the M version demonstrated construction a post ago.

MiG-21M (1968; Izdeliye 96 / Izdeliye 96A; NATO "Fishbed-J")
M = Modernizirovannyy ("Modernised")

Export variant of the MiG-21S with two major differences: the RP-22 radar of the MiG-21S was substituted with the older RP-21MA radar, and featured a built-in GSh-23L cannon instead of a cannon pod. In the air-to-air role it could only carry the R-3S IR-seeking AAM on its four pylons, as the SARH variant, the R-3R, was not cleared for export. The type was also licence-built in India, the first Indian-built example being delivered in February 1973.
(Wikipedia)

My MiG-21M version, belonging to Luftstreikräfte der Nationalen Volksarmee of the JG-9 "Heinrich Rau" squadron based in Peenemünde in 1971.
