As we are slowly approaching the end of this strange relation, it is appropriate to finally present the technical data of Douglas DWC:
Drive: 1 x Liberty L-12 Power: 309 kW (420 hp) Span: 15.3 m Length: 10.82 / 11.89 m (wheeled landing gear / undercarriage with floats) Height: 4.14 / 4.6 m Bearing area: 65.68 mē Mass Own: 1543 / 1825 kg Usable: 3173 / 3536 kg Fuel supply: 2438 l Max speed: 167 / 160 km/h Ceiling: 3050 / 2135 m Range: 3701 / 2655 km As for the construction, "Chicago" was deprived of floats and equipped with wheels. I remind the malcontents that what is in the pictures is the first pre-model with the wrong colors and glued together quickly, so not very carefully. In addition, it has not glued exhausts so hence the emptiness behind the radiator. The "New Orleans" was equipped with floats. In addition, I decided to make folded wings in it, which required making ribs and a few cuts in the lobes. There are still propellers and small additions to the equipment in the form of position lights, generators, etc. and all in all, the model can be considered finished, but more on that in the next post

It's a beautiful model, and I appreciate you bringing us in on the design and development process.

Thank you Don for the kind word - I try to make the relationship interesting
Finally, I will present the second test model, which I decided to make with folded wings. The lines on the elevators painted with a marker and in the model file are also already there. There were some problems with my eyesight and old fingers with small details, but it worked out. Thus, the work can be considered completed with the statement that I made another model of another technical product that aroused my interest, and will not be popular among potential customers. The model is large, impressive, maybe effective, but all in all simple, simplified, not to say crude. Most importantly, I had fun working on it and cracking Rhino along the way. Before you: Douglas World Cruiser No. 4 "New Orleans"

Honest, you should see if you could put it up at eCardmodels. I'm pretty sure I'd buy a copy.

The model looks great...and of course the design of the model and the work on it are excellent.
And the folding wings raise the model to several levels. YOAV |

Hello Friends!
I have great pleasure to participate on this project as a beta builder. I hope you will enjoy with few photos of my build. Please note you could spot few mistakes that ussually occur in the project and test build process - they were removed immediately. Or will be. First, lets look on cocpit, engine and fuselage with centerwing frame.
