1/33 Mustang Mk IV No. 303 (Kościuszko) Squadron RAF
Mustang Mk IV (RF-S KM209), No. 303 (Kościuszko) Squadron RAF, F/Lt Stefan Kleczkowski.
This particular aircraft took part in only one combat mission, Operation Ramrod 1554, on 25 April 1945. On that day, several hundred Lancasters, escorted by Mustangs, were sent to bomb the Obersalzberg complex, which included Hitler's Berghof residence. The model is a Zarkov, resized to 1/33 and repainted by my grandson according to the book Polskie Skrzydła/Polish Wings 23 303 Squadron North American Mustang. A friend of mine did the transparent canopy, so thanks to him, the finished plane looks much better.
