There is an inner framing to the nose section. Also, the nose gear bay. I added small weights to the nose to keep the tail from falling down. It really needed 3 of those.

I got rid of all the butt joints and started from the aft section going forward
![]() ![]() ![]() notice this gap on the lower section. A function of ill fitting design. ![]() aft section is complete and ready to mate. ![]() ![]() ![]() Isaac

Fuselage joined
Here is the nose section ready to mate with the aft fuselage
![]() joined at the cockpit area. I decided to do it at that location so I can press against the inside to better glue the sections. ![]() ![]() another view of the bottom. Poor fit. Really looks amateur !!!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() The fuselage here: ![]() ![]() ![]() Isaac

The fuselage was the easy part. The wings to nacelles will be the big issue. Isaac

Cut out for the cockpit
![]() ![]() The cockpit tub is inserted thru the opening in the fuselage folded and unassembled. ![]() Once inside, I glued the joints and to the side of the fuselage to fit. ![]() ![]() ![]() cockpit is in. It is a very simple design with no details. and the seat. ![]() ![]() Isaac

The Meteor has two engines in long nacelles that are planted in the middle ( sort of ) the wings.
Here are the parts. Notice no glue tabs ![]() I decided to add glue tabs except in the center section ![]() parts are rolled ![]() here is the nacelle aft section ![]() ![]() here are the forward and aft sections ![]() I decided to keep the butt joined in the center just to make things easy for me. ![]() joined ![]() ![]() A side notice. Look at this engine inlet face? ![]() It is for a turbofan engine which did not exist back then. The meteors ( all variants ) had what is called a Centrifugal compressor engine that sucked air from a plenum fed by the inlet. You would not see these compressor blades. here is the real view into the inlet. ![]() My opinion is that the model designer was either not aware of what the engine looked like, or was just too lazy to render it correctly. I decided to just have a black circle inside the inlet. Isaac

I admire your perseverance with this kit Isaac. It maybe sounds somewhat arrogant but I wouldn't even consider to build such a model. Building should be fun and not a process of growing frustration. In any case, you're doing a great job and given the other models in your Meteor collection, your drive to carry on must be rewarding in the end.
