Spitfires didn't have a full-width 'floor' like many other fighters, so the kit is accurate.
You are also correct in noting the clean and well-laid-out cockpit - this was one of several intelligent and novel features on the 190. There were other things such as redundant systems and the tailwheel only part retracting so that if it didn't come down the plane could land with less damage.

The layout of the instrument panel looks very organized. Indeed, the bottom of the Spitfire cockpit was a bit of challenge, but ...... a nice one. Halinski's Spit Mk 1a is a great model . Look forward to seeing your Fw190 coming together!

I agree with you 100%, Erik. And I don't doubt that Halinski's kits are accurate
Continuing with the cockpit detail – self-explanatory pictures, hopefully. |

Closing the cockpit was straightforward. The fit is just fine. |

I love Halinki's models I just haven't been able to find the courage to tery one yet. This is a good build to follow for me. FW is one of my favourite fighters.

Tappi, try the Polikarpov I-16 for starters. That was my first Halinski model. It is of course a smaller subject and is therefore not quite so complex.
