Thank you very much for the comments, friends
@Papermate – well, there is an incredible variety of Polish kits. From my experience, those from Halinski are almost invariably excellent. From other publishers, you can get either good, fair or bad kits. My friend Tino says that the kit designer is more important than the kit publisher and I tend to agree! Regarding the Fw-190 family, I have a Ta-152 waiting to join the A-8 and the D-9 on the showcase. It won’t be in the near future, as I have just received a bunch of kits (from Answer and associated brands) to add to an obscene stack of possible “next ones”. You surely know the “bigger eyes than stomach” syndrome, present on many modelers. So, the idea of somewhat feeling constrained to build the same plane twice, irrespective of the kit quality, is not particularly appealing. Thank you very much, anyway. But you made me curious about that model and the designer! @Michael – I am desperately unimaginative with the “completed model” pictures. Hopefully, as you suggest, they are informative @Ciuttso – hmm, good point! You know that taking pictures while cutting, applying the glue and bending is a tall order for someone with just two hands Maybe I can get some help, in this respect. The fact is that I always work alone… @ Dan – hard question! The summer holidays are not far. Perhaps a small building will fit the niche. Now, I am finishing another Modelik train, starting Z-Art’s Lesna palace and well into GPM’s A-10. There are other completed models waiting to be shown, too. |
