Fw 190D-9 Halinski

After a good Orlik kit (MB-5), I’m getting back to Halinski. The subject of this thread is a Fw 190D-9, published in 2011. I built a A-8 version, also from Halinski some years ago and, not surprisingly, the kits have a lot in common. The long-nosed version doesn’t model the engine (which would be completely hidden, anyway) but it models some detail that is visible through the landing gear openings. The flaps are modeled separately, unlike those in the older kit. The lack of the engine means that the number of parts is lower. Lower but not small, at 735!
The graphic quality is up to the top Halinski standard. The painting detail can only be appreciated in very close pictures. I find the weathering effects unique, really.
The kit has a very standard format and number of pages: 4 colored, in good quality paper, 2 others on very thin paper and some more devoted to assembly diagrams. You can get a good idea of the kit in the annexed pictures.

@Erik - when I got back to the forum after a long time “off”, I clearly stated that there were many models waiting to be put here and the situation did not change. Aircraft, trains and buildings…
You know that I dedicate much more time to “model-making” than to “model-showing”. In fact, writing posts often occur in bursts, to have a wealthy stack to keep the thread active. So, you got it right and I don’t want to fool nobody

As in most Halinski WW2 fighter subjects, the middle fuselage structure is solid, making a good base to attach things to. The cockpit has a card plate to serve as a floor. It doesn’t exist on their Spitfires, which are very fragile and, consequently, much trickier to assemble.

Judging from the kits, Fw 190 cockpits are less cluttered than many other WW2 fighters. There is no lack of detail, anyway…
The pictures 14 and 15 show the front fuselage card structure.
