Got to find the model cover page interesting.

Two P-39 flying formation while one is hit and trailing smoke, while the other one is not even trying to protect his wing mate and will soon become a target as well. Like many art covers, most are just fantasies.

Looking forward to your build.

Isaac

finishing the cockpit it is simplified but not so much really for a smaller scale,
starting the fuse with the tail, and moving forward have not touched up the seams yet with any paint but probably will do that

Nice looking pilot's office, Glen. Fuselage is shaping up. Good work.

I think 'box art' is fine to apply some artistic license to make the kit look good. It's sort of a rule that any fighter has to be depicted having just set an enemy plane on fire, preferably with all the guns still firing.

Some more done forward, preparing for the cockpit this is still a nice kit and enjoyable to build. This is how far I have got today.

So you have to slide the cockpit in there once built?

Old thread from my early model building days shows the more proper method but not sure the pictures show and interestingly I didn’t notice the problem I had then with the tail formers…
