Mitsubishi A6M2-N "RUFE" 1/48

I haven't built many aircraft models lately, but need a break, so I thought a 1/48 Zero floatplane would fit in with my other 1/48 floatplanes, and have a nice Halinski A6M2 model that I built as Koga's zero a long time ago, and thought maybe add a float? I'm not sure where this will end up, but started on the cockpit

I look forward to seeing this project come to fruition, Glen. Will it be in the markings of the Sasebo-ku?

Incidentally, the catbirds arrived a couple of days agp. The white-throated sparrows are still here.

I am looking forward to this, as I am trying to finish up a regular A6M2 myself. Different designer but looking forward to seeing how this kit tackles a challenge or two I faced when tweaking mine from an A6M5 to an A6M2.

Hey Dan I have seen some of your builds it looks like you are having fun...this one is simplified a bit from the original since reduced using pretty much the same ideas for bulding. I am using the float from the 1/72 RUFE from ecardmodels with some redrawing and recolor to try to match, we'll see if it scales up ok

I am thanks for your help on that Don, I like that it is a picture of an A6M2N already and pretty similar color, but I like the Japanese letters ...looks cool
Pretty much all our birds are back a few later arrivals the cedar waxwings, empid flycatchers and black headed grosbeaks yet to come but hummers back all 3 species and swallows swarming as now we have 10 boxes!

Are you doing the WAK? I was wondering how that one works out myself, but probably will never get to it as quite occupied with bird models mostly I can't quite supply the demand and trying to make new... nice to make a little plane
