Thanks, Chris! These are sort of like ships and really do benefit from all that rigging. Plus, in this case, it makes a rather fragile thing pretty darn strong. Thanks for the comments and following. Dan |

You know, Greg, I could see doing a half track or one of my favorites like a Honey or a Lee/Grant. My wife did get me a Wespe. Hmm.........Dan |

Do you know how many times I checked out your build? It was one of the main things that got me through! I have a few more AH planes plus a battleship to make. Sure make great models. Your interest and skill is much appreciated. Dan |

Thanks so much, Mike. I'm glad it was at least entertaining. I was dreaming about rigging last night. Maybe a nice, trim WWII monoplane is in order? Much appreciated, Dan |

Good points, RJ. This one is, however, going to get a pilot and be hung from my office ceiling. I can't wait for my boss to come in. Have a great day and keep cutting and gluing...Dan |

Thanks so much, Siwi. And I need to apologize for confusing you with another poster yesterday. I think I had too many rigging lines in my head! I am truly pleased with the finish. It's a model that I really enjoyed putting together to the last detail. Didn't get tired of it. Well worth the effort. I could see doing some more delicate sea planes in the future. Thanks for commenting and following along! Dan |

What can I say? Excellent work Dan! I've been following your builds for quite some time now and think this is your best up so far. Your weathering skills are great too, as not all Orlik kits come with weathering, and certainly not with dirt stains. It takes courage to weather a paper model as paint can't be undone on paper. What do you use: Different shades of grey marker (such as Tombow) as this is already very effective?
Cheers, Erik |
