Well, there was one made by the old Williams Bros company of model airplane accessories. They also released other beautiful and very rare plastic models, mostly of racers from the golden age of aviation: the 30s.
This C-46 model was reelased in 1/72 scale but it wasn't exactly a very accurate model. Still being the only one available at that time (the 70s.) it sold like hot cakes. Nowadays you caneventually find one on EBay.
