And then from the right side, and a few from the front. Oh, and a few more missing ones from the left side ...

Finally, a few black and white ones, which are really my favorites. They capture that wonderful fifties propeller aircraft era better than anything else!

No one word can describe it, magnificent masterpiece. Deserving of display in an Air & Space museum. Well done!

The model looks fantastic....you did a great job on the model.
Work of a craftsman. I like it very much. One thing bothers me a bit about this model.... It is very detailed, the illustrations and details on the model are very beautiful and accurate, it includes a beautiful and very detailed landing gears and landing gears houses, at least the designer should have made a cockpit for it. And I'm not talking about the passenger cabin, just the cockpit of the pilots. It would have given the model added value. Best regards YOAV |

Congratulations, Erik!
This is the printed version, right? And it has the Rotterdam-logo... a musthave for me! Still doubting for the download or the print.

Hi Michael, yankeekilo, Don, Joe, Yoav and Willem, thank you for your kind words. Well appreciated .
Joe: I would be honored if the model ends up in a museum. It's quite big for displaying at home. Still figuring out how to deal with that luxury problem..... Yoav: Fully agree with you. It would have been great if the cockpit with some details had been included and I remember that initially the publisher had in mind to include cockpit details. Somehow that idea got lost during the design. Perhaps some builders/designers are capable of fixing a cockpit....? Willem: This build started off as a test-build and I got the pdf-files from Diderick. I would advise you to go for the download version for several reasons: You can play around with the scale you like and there's more flexibility to correct parts that didn't turn out well. I added numerous details myself, screwed up a bit here and there as well, and for this a download version is just very handy. Only thing is to avoid differences in color, so print the entire lot in one go. I used a full set of prints (laser prints) on 160 grams paper and one full set printed on 80 grams (regular copier paper). At least, that was the intention: As Cor was still designing at the time Diderick sent the pdf files, I still received several updates (also after already having printed them out......), so it took a lot of extra copies. The thinner copies can be used for small corrections but for bigger corrections you may need to print a few extra sheets on 160 grams. Erik |
