very nice!! thank you for building it, i did the modifications to the tsmc traditional dc-3 to convert it to c-117 a few years ago, is availavle for free in the downloads section in this blog, looks terrific!, congrats

There is a Super DC-3 that visits my airport occasionally to practice touch & goes. It is stationed at the Anchorage Airport. It is a Red one. Had to look it up to find out what it was the first time I saw it.

Tuesday when flying my airplane back from Wolf Lake airport, shared the traffic pattern here in Kenai with a DC-3 that was practicing Touch and Goes.

Wolf Lake is where my mechanic moved too. Needed my yearly inspection, we did lots of repair work, had issues with electrical and my elevator trim was not working, this is a flight control and it had me nervous to fly. Good thing it was froze in the cruise flight spot. Been sitting trying to find a mechanic to fix since Oct 2022. Great to be flying again.

Very blessed to be located at Kenai airport. Several vintage airplanes fly from here to support the fishing industry and a couple of companies fly fuel out to the villages.

Sure love the sound of all when they depart. Favorite is the C-46, it leaves with a roar! P-47 engines on it sound awesome as they pass your spot on the ground. I've banged my head several times when working under the dash, when you hear any of the above spooling up for take-off!
