GPM F8F-1 Bearcat, 1:33
Bought this model with a couple others from the generous david sakrison. I have been especially interested in the older grumman cats lately, so this model was the first one i cracked into It's been a while since i last built a big kit like this so my large-scale modeling skills are rusty but so far i am not too disappointed with the results
More to come soon

It looks terrific! I have always liked the look of the F8F, and I think that the post-WWII Navy Reserve markings look great.

Great cockpit, and rear fuselage. Nice work.

Very good Gregory! We who build small scale kits are supposed to take a break from building a large scale kit with its very manageable parts. This is what happened to me when I put together a MiG-15 in 1/33 last month. It's turning out pretty good.

I watched a Bearcat taxi in at Oshkosh today. I'm spending the week volunteering with Warbirds of America at AirVenture Oshkosh. I'm really suffering!

Thank you everybody! And my sympathies to david for having to endure the hardships of oshkosh
I got the vertical tail up and running—a bit of a tough fit—and extended the fuselage a bit further forward. Next is the engine, so a lot of repetitive work to come! It is starting to look like a bearcat though
