Printing it at full scale was a little problematic because of the A4 situation. What I did was save it using Microsoft print to PDF (which is a print option under the printer selection box in the PDF reader), then exported it from my Documents folder to Corel Draw (I think you can use Gimp also if you do not have Corel) where I clipped the original down to fit on 8.5" x 11". When Importing to Corel you must import as Curves and only do one page at a time. It comes in with lines across the original (like separate sections of the page) which disappear when you save it in Corel format for printing.
I think you could also print it directly on legal sized card stock (8.5" x 14") which is available at office supply stores or on line. My system works but it takes longer, but heck I'm retired so it's not a big deal. Mike |

Thanks, Mike. Yeah, your method is beyond my skill set, but the legal-size option might work.

Yes, legal sized paper will work in this instance since the A4 graphic will then fit.
That is possible because, in inches, A4 is 8.27 x 11.69, meaning on an 8.5 x11 sheet, one needs only .69" more in length when printed at 100% (original) scale. However, you can more easily do what Tom did in letter size by merely using "Fit to page" in the print dialogue. That setting will downsize the A-4, in the case of Luis' 1/33 model to 1/35 scale ... if scale is not important. However, If one wants to print at the original 1/33 scale, it will require two prints - the original, plus that portion that did not fit on the letter page ... BUT that may require more than the .69" in order to not split any of the graphics, in this case, the fuselage sides. The portion that was not printed can be easily selected by taking a Snaphot of it. For example, if using the free Acrobat Reader DC, while viewing the page to be printed, select Edit/More/Snapshot and drag around the portion wanted to print. Then in the Edit/Print dialog, that portion will be highlighted and ready to print at 100%. Gene K Scale is important to me, favoring 1/32, so I print the A4 pages at 103% and use the Snapshot tool as above as needed. EDIT: Sorry for the low resolution of the attachments - I can't figure out how to post the original, sharper resolution. |
