It's not directly related with the Sea Otter, but here we can see how tick were the WWII seaplane wings, and that's part of why they were slower than ground based planes.

Love the blueprints. Looking at the photos. I can't help but cringe at the tremendous amount of noise from the propeller blade positioned just above the cockpit.

You made me think for a moment that just for this it the Walrus was better, but not, the Sea Otter was an improvement of the Walrus.
Why better? not only the noise, there was at least one seaplane that was more dangerous to the crew than to the enemy: The Plane That Cut Off Your Arm If You Wanted To Land | CANT Z.501 Gabbiano [Aircraft Overview #65] - YouTube

Great news that Neptune's Daughter is coming, along with the other versions.

Yes, Don, the insides of the Alpha Model should be cut and assembled before the end of October, and the model with "straight wings" before November. There should be a different set of folded wings, too.

This is a great subject and a very interesting craft! My compliments on such a good design to craft! Cant wait to see your build thread!

Regarding the over-the-wing propeller, the pilots of the Savoia-Marchetti S.55 spoke highly of its performance and reliable operation...

That was anther craft! Its been modeled several times. I look forward to seeing yours next to my model of the S.55.

Once finished the Martin 262c, I'll start with the Sea Otter.
I had two doubs with this plane: the profile of the nose and how the upper wings folded.
Today I solved both.
Some planes had just a bit of fabric that folded like the bat's wing membrane, but the Otter had a hard triangle that fell down before folding the wing. You can see that triangle perfectly in this picture.
Ah! and found A LOT of information about the plane. So much that I'm going to design it faster than I believed.

Very nice, I'll definitely be watching for it.

At the risk of adding another to your bucket list. Do you know of any paper model of the DO-26?
