One of them might meet your criteria.
I went on their web site and found this :

Vivak Plastic, 11 Inches Wide x 14 Inches Long x .020 Inch Thick (6 Sheets)

"Vivak is a multipurpose, high-strength clear plastic. Use for forming airplane canopies and other glazing. Easily glued, these plastic sheets are ideal for model fabrication work, and can be vacuum formed to create specialized shapes. 6 Sheets. "

but it is not available anymore. Crap

the quest continues.

Thank you

Isaac

Have you tried Dick Blick art supplies? Or any art supply store near you?

Midwest Products PVC Super Sheets | BLICK Art Materials

They have other types of clear, like acetate, too.

How does PVC handle when thermaformed ( vacuuformed )? Some plastic sheets become really grainy or hard to form?
Have you formed canopies from clear PVC?

thanks

Isaac

Thanks for the Blick suggestion Greg. I was looking for thin clear rigid plastic for making finger grip tabs for my flying models, and this might fit the bill: Midwest Products PVC Super Sheets

And for vacuforming, they've got you covered: Schulcz Thermoplastic Sheets

Not sure if economical: Many full face Respirators have protective rippies you can buy to protect the lens. They have adhesive backing to stick to each other until time to rip off the top one and use the next one.

Sand blasters use something similar to protect the lens on their hoods too. Heavier material and larger size than the rippies.

This is the outcome of an acetate sheet on one of my projects. One of them still has the double sided protective film over it, which is why it's hazy. The other has them both fully removed.

That is nice clear part. I like it.

I will now check it out to purchase sheets. Again, my preference is 0.010 inches thick, but I will try 0.020 if I must.

Thanks

Isaac

Hi, Isaac. I found one online site (Jeepers Dollhouse Miniatures) that claims to have 3 packages of two sheets each (sized 8.5 x 11 inches) of the K&S PETG in .010 inch thickness. They also claim to have 5 2-sheet packages of the .015 inch thickness, as well.

Here's the link to the site page for the .010 sheets:

KSE1307 - .010 Clear Plastic Sheets - Jeepers Dollhouse Miniatures

I know nothing about this site, so proceed at your own risk.

I hope you are able to get a little more supply of what you need from this site.

Take care.

Pete

P. S. I found another site that claims to have the .010 K&S sheets:

Clear Plastic Sheets for Windows .010 [KSE1307] - $6.75 : Miniature Designs, Full Service Dollhouse Miniature Shop in Georgia

Last edited by Yesfan; 11-15-2023 at 10:24 AM. Reason: Found another possible site that sells the .010 K&S sheets

Hi Isaac

While visiting protected factory I find some kind fo Plastic/Nilon that use pack boxes for industry and it's done with heat.
The good thing about is that planty of residues left and they just go to garbage.
so I have planty - when ever you visit your old country let me know
