At this point, I added the fin on the bottom rear.
![]() did you know that the Mirage 3 family had the capability for rocket assist that was buried in the location of the lower fin? However, it was not a practical solution since it was heavy and the plane carried it for the duration of the mission as dead weight. The wheels are laminated card sanded to size and shape
![]() Gear installed ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Note : the main gear belly doors can be positioned down or retracted when on the ground. The reason is that they were hydraulically energized when the engine pump was active. When the engine is off, pressure is slowly lost and in a few hours, the doors just dropped. However, when the engine was operating and the pump is active, the main doors would retract. ![]() Isaac

The model is done. here are some photos:
Again, for more detailed build log, refer to my original post regarding my first Mirage 3c build. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() it is in clean configuration without the drop tanks and missiles. At this point it will remain as such and I may add those later on. My next build will be the grey colored Kfir C2 version of Yoav's design. That will complete 5 Mirages for now with a possible another in the future. Isaac

Excellent build and photos, Isaac. Very nicely done.
Did you get more plastic sheets for vaccuforming, or is this canopy made with you old plastic sheets? Gary

The Mirage canopy is the last from my old stock. and..... I did purchase new PET acrylic plastic sheets, but did not yet vacuform them. I will do that for the next build ( Kfir c2 ), or another model. Isaac
