I got new two different sets of blank plastic sheets to experiment with. I hope they work.

I find that I am wasting time and money on all these plastic sheets that somehow do not work for me.

Exclamation Side intakes

Now that the canopy and upper fairing is in place, it is easier to install the two engine side intakes. If you install the inlets first, you may have some slight issues with attaching the canopy and fairing later. It is my preference, but you may try otherwise.

Cool Vertical fin

I selected an alternate tail number ( but that is not really a factor and you can stay with the original tail number in the downloaded file ).

here is the fin assembly with the engine cooling intake at the forward fin location

You're an expert at the Kfir/Mirage assembly now. Very interesting font on the call number in the vertical stabilizer.

Yes, the old fashion looking font was common for a while. A departure from Block letters and numbers

Here is a picture I found on the web of my 895 in outside storage at the Israeli AF museum in the Negev desert. Notice they reverted to a block looking font. Glory days are over. By now, it may be scrapped.

Looking good Isaac and good tip regarding the work order of the air intakes and canopy.

Interesting to see that you installed an inside skin (sleeve or jacket) onto the tail structure before installing the actual skin itself. That will certainly reinforce the outside skin en protect it from denting. Or was this feature already part of the model's design? You may even consider laminating the tail skin already before sliding it over the structure.

Regards,
Erik

Erik

I always add inside skins on the tail surfaces and also the inner wings top and bottom ( as much as possible to prevent denting the outer skins. I don't show it in all my builds. Secondly, it helps slide the airfoils closer to the fuselage when glue is applied.

Cool Wings

The delta wings are simple to build an consist of one piece skin folded over. Fillets are added later.

The only modification is the addition of the landing gear bays ( those can be taken form Yaron's repaint of the Kfir ). Note that none of Yoav designs have any landing gears nor provisions for such, so you need to plan ahead if you build these models on their landing gear .

In addition small cuts in the wings spar are also needed to clear corners of the bays.

There are also card stock doublers inside the wing skins

Starting to come together nicely, Isaac, with the wings and ventral fin on.
