Mirage 3C-Grey repaint by Gary
This is my 6th varant of the Yoav designed Mirage / Kfir / Nesher family.
I already built the silver and the camouflaged Mirage 3c with the original 2 piece engine exhaust, but wanted to build the very last variant and colors for that plane just prior to its replacement with the Kfir. The coloration adopted by the Israeli Air Force was similar to the USA Compass Ghost Grey scheme that was also adopted by the Kfir C2 versions. I asked Gary (aka MacSongLi ) to repaint the model, and in the process, I consulted with both Yoav and Yaron about the changes to the exhaust of this variant which was different from the previous versions and resulted in modifications. A big thank you to Gary !!!!!!!!!!! And another great support from Yoav and Yaron for the modifications. Thank you both again. A brief reference to all my previous build of these Mirages can be found in post #4 of my Kfir C2 build here: https://www.papermodelers.com/forum/796573-post4.html The build log will be a short since it is identical to the previous Mirages. Isaac

Original inspiration
As a side note, I built a plastic 1/48 scale version of a grey Mirage many many years ago. Admittedly, not a very good one, but I am sure it inspired me to get a grey paper model done.

Isaac,
Always great to collaborate with you on another project. This one was a lot of fun. Now that you're extremely experienced building Mirage / Kfir / Nesher models, you should probably be able to build this one with your eyes closed. You're off to a fantastic start, the fuselage looks perfect. Gary

This is my sixth and final Mirage series model to build ( not counting the the original Wilhelmshaven mirage, or the Hobby Model Kfir or about 6 or so in plastic ).
so far, the build technique is relatively easy, but I do make small mistakes. Thanks Isaac

canopy
As with the other Mirages, I had to finish the cockpit, Canopy and upper fairing before attaching the side engine air intakes.
I had vacuformed the canopy previously after great pain using a thicker plastic than usual. parts cockpit . I forgot to edge color the seatbelts. canopy on canopy on status status Isaac

Isaac, it looks like you're able to vaccuform again. I'm guessing that you found a reliable source of plastic that you can vaccuform.

Engine inlets
Now that the upper fairing is in place, you can attach the two side inlets.
I do have to admit that I got lazy and did not properly build the ejection seat pull strap above the seat. next time, I will use wire painted properly. Isaac
