That cockpit is a joy to behold.
I see some overspray from painting it - will you be recolouring the whole model?

I sure will, Siwi! I didn't really like the garishness of the coloring so airbrushing will be fun.

Not quite sure of my scheme, but soon!

Officially done with the interior after making the rear overly-complicated-sighting-mechanism (said like Dr. Evil). It was fun to make. The main tube and edge attachments are from the kit but the tube was shortened and then I added some more boxes, the reflector sight and some wiring based on some photos. Even better, the canopy fits over all this stuff!

Sorry that things are so dark. It's hard to get a nice picture of it all.

I think I'll frame the canopy and then glue it on...that way when I start painting, I can get the frames at the same time with natural colors.

More soon...Dan

Impressive bit of gadgetry Dan! I can visualize it moving the barbettes against an incoming enemy.

Thanks Guys....Siwi: Strapped to their frikin' heads!

Ray: I learn from the best (you).

Greg: I was a little worried but a test fit shows all in in order and nothing is getting squashed! Thank goodness.

Thanks so much, YOAV!

More soon,
Dan

Great stuff Dan. Adding details to the cockpit is really big fun, and studying actual pictures and understanding what was used for what also is very revealing. Cut-away drawings are wonderful too. With every model that you make you learn a lot of things around it, it's like going on a discovery tour. Nice to see that you also added weathering and are going to air brush the model. The original print is indeed not very realistic. You are making your own Halinski out of it !

Cheers,
Erik
