Hi Dan, that's looking good! It looks like though that the green color on the engine nacelles is a bit brighter compared to the corresponding green of the wings, or is it just optical illusion? Also peculiar to notice that the engine nacelles extend further than the fuselage. I wonder what effect this had on the center of gravity.

Thanks for looking, Erik. I know that this model has an extended fuselage for more stability. Maybe it wasn't such a problem? This would make a nice rubber powered free flight model since prop blades could be larger and not cut into the fuselage! Maybe my next project?
The color is off since I destroyed one panel and needed to print a scan so my colors don't match at all. Good eye... More soon, Dan |

After a long time trying to figure out how on earth to construct the rads, I cobbled them together. There were some odd folds I could never rectify so there are bits of raw wood that will need some attention. They look cool, though and once made, fit nicely into the correct spot. These are the first parts on this kit that have been above my pay grade.
Alls well that ends well. Start priming, sanding and painting soon...Dan |
