A beautiful set of Piper Cubs. Since I learned to fly in a Piper J-3 (N87967 C/N 18-2298) in 1959, it will always be a special airplane to me.

Looks like you are having fun with the J-3/L-4 series. Wonderfully clean builds at that scale.

Jan,
I love seeing your collection of Cubs! I am jealous of your building abilities! They make a very impressive display. Please note that the aircraft that Don Boose learned to fly [N87967] is part of the DGA offerings |

Now NC23413.
49 Special Edition ‘Flitfire’ Cubs were donated by Piper Aircraft and by Piper Dealers to help financially fund the British War effort. NC23413 is depicted to be the Flitfire from Texas. Some of these aircraft were raffled off. Some were used to raise money by barnstorming. NC23413 has been restored to flying status. 12 of the Flitfires are still listed in flying status with the FAA. A DGA model. |
