Hi Siwi ,

I'm really excited to see how I'll get the glass pulpit done

Hello

Parts 11 / 12 / 13 ... install tab and frame at the back ...

Hull lengthened... parts 14 / 15 / 16 ...

...assembled and connected to the fuselage.

Sincerely
Kurt

Thank you Petestein

And further ...........

Color comes into play with fuselage part 16... and the fuselage already grows to a length of 35 cm.

Part 20 with frame for the rudder ... and landing gear for the tail wheel ...

which is already being adjusted, but not glued yet!

Sincerely
Kurt

Hello

Now let part 20 dry thoroughly... and attach it to the back of the fuselage.

An exciting section follows... first cut out the glass panes...

...transfer the window openings onto paper and fix glass film over them.

Sincerely
Kurt

I tried exactly this technique on the Frogfoot and it worked to get exactly right size glass pieces, but I used double sided tape to stick them to the clear plastic and it was very hard to get all the glue off. Then incredibly careful use of superglue dots to fix them on. Will be interested to see how you do this.

Hello Siwi,
These types of windows are always a bit tricky to build, but I do my best

and further ....

Cut out the slices and glue them in individually with Micro Kristal Klear... fold at the pre-scored edges...

... glue and cover the inside with gray stripes ... the finished pulpit is a little too big ...

... that's why I cut something away all around until it fit somewhat.

Sincerely
Kurt

I had not heard of this product before but what it can do is amazing. How do you get the 'glass' to dry flat? Will it work for creating curved parts like gun blisters over a mould form?

Micro Crystal Clear is just a form of PVA glue used to glue in clear parts. It isn't used to make windows, it is sometimes used for gage and light lenses.

Hello Siwi,
To shape the glass parts, I simply put them in a suitable tube and leave them in there overnight.
This is how the glass part is shaped.

@ Greg : thanks for info

@ Dan : Thank you too and stay on ......

And further ......

A single part for the Spartan cockpit...prepared...

... installed ... and equipped with pilot.

Sincerely
Kurt
