Just a couple of more photos of the MS 406 C1. Have not had much time lately to work on it, but am making progress in the tail section now.

A bit more progress with the MS 406 - front air intakes added and the front and middle fuselage sections joined. Right hand side aligned up nicely but there is a slight misalignment on the left, but nothing to worry about I think.

Looking good. As much as it is easier to say than do, I wouldn't worry about the misalignment.

It will be far less noticeable with the wing on.

Very nice work.
I liked the color texture and all the details on the model.

If I had this quality when I started. It's excellent. We are always learning, that's the fun of this hobby.

Thanks, all the kind comments are very encouraging!
A bit more progress with the MS 406 today. The fuselage sections are joined together now. Although there is still some work to do on the cockpit (headrest etc) I decided to leave this to last and move on to the wings.

The wing framework as per the kit is very basic and not at all stable - see first photo of the wing. I decided to reinforce it as per some other models I have seen in the builds here, and although it took a bit of time I think it will be well worth the effort when doing the wing skins.

Although this is a very nice kit from WAK, as a beginners model I can't help feeling that the instructions leave a lot to be desired. Some things are left to the builder to figure out (cockpit seat, tail skid etc) and there is no 3 view to give you an idea on dihedral and the proper angle for things like the u/c etc. Although I've only just started card modelling, I have built a lot of r/c aircraft from scratch so I'm kind of used to figuring out where and how things fit together. But a complete modelling novice might some problems, which is a pity.

Your MS 406 looks beautiful. That minor misalignment will, as Fred said, disappear once the wing and wing filets are in place.

A bit more progress to share with the MS with the wing ready to be fitted to the fuselage. The cannons in the wings were a **** to do. Not too bad but not quite as neat as I would have liked.

Those "cannons in wings" were MAC 34 , 7.5mm machine guns. their barrels were accordingly thin, much thinner than they should have been and as an effect they often overcooled and froze at high altitudes. They are sometimes mentioned in memoirs of pilots of Battle of France.
