1/144 AV-8B Harrier

My mother's 80th Bday is coming up, and she had asked me to build her a Harrier, her
favorite aircraft. I have built her several models through the years, so I thought this
was as good a reason to build one as any other reason.

It is a SNP stock build, no real additions, but rescaled from 1/100 to 1/144. I did
reposition the nozzles to a 45 degree "short take off" position.

The first pictures are on a regular base.

For shipping and her display, I used a Dollar Tree paper craft box. Wanting a
little more attractive base (versus the plain top), I sprayed the bottom (the lid)
with Rustoleum stone fleck paint. Then, using some florist foam, I cut a piece
to elevate the base graphic, while allowing the new "lid" to fit inside. The graphic
is of a Harrier landing spot.

And, the evidence.....

Well done on both the model, base and presentation Ray. I'm sure your mum will love it!

Nicely done. 1/144 was my first love thanks to Crown, LS, and Revell but then I moved to paper!
