Halinsky spitfire FR9 1:33

This is my first time in making an aircraft so am plunging in with a Halinsky. I have several of their spitfires but thought I would start with the mark 9 photo-reconnaissance plain.
this is a live build so maybe slow.

Cover, insides and lasercuts.

Instrument panel

inner skins and some frames

that's all for now

That's a gutsy beginning for a first aircraft! But it seems you have it handled!

Yes. Looks like you are bringing your "Railroad" precision to aviation.
Beautiful David.

Woah, that's a very good start David. There's a lot of similarity between this Halinski model and the Mk1a Halinski I built 3 years ago, at least for now in the cockpit area. I remember there was a fitting issue at the rear end of the cockpit and the eventual skins, but maybe not for this version of the Spitfire. Good luck, I will be following your build with great interest!

Erik

A great start, it is wonderfully neat. What is the method for the oxygen tanks - roll and sand?

thanks, texman cockpit details are pretty strait forward it is the wings that I am not looking forward to.
thanks, Mike, yoavhozmi, songkhonggiat82, rifleman and Erik the inner skins meet up there is a camera control box in the cockpit.
Siwi I used a 3mm dia paper lollypop stick with the printed paper rolled around it till I had the right dia and rounded the ends with the scalpel to get the ruth shape and then used a fine file to smooth it all out.

this weekend's progress finished the P side and added the control column.

Finished adding to the L-side

here is where it has an added part to the standard cockpit the camera control box

the finished L-side just the seat to do.

the two sides side by side.
