Alan Rose DC-3 aluminum can build.
Howdy
Perhaps you were expecting a six foot four inch DC-3 wingspan made with aluminum cans? :·) Here is the aluminum can build reduced to an 8 inch by 32 inch panel. Bob |

Snap Shots
Howdy,
Thank you guys, Here are a few in-process pictures that may be of interest. Due to the original kit parts photographed with my hand held camera; then those images computer reduced, and more than likely, printer sizing errors, the subassemblies were altered. I anticipated fit problems. No disappointment there. Thin aluminum sheets required each single prop blade to be made up of 8 parts sandwiched together resulting in a believable thickness. First go around; the blades didn’t go around. They were too long. I remade another set rather than shortening the existing builds. PEPSI furnished the Nice Blue windows. Thanks, Bob |

Nice job. A bit of work (especially those rivets) but well worth it. I've only toyed with making models with aluminum cans but I think it's time to actually complete one. I have a big tube of UHU that I hope will work as well as Quick Grip.

Aluminum can Alan Rose DC-3
Howdy,
I repaired a damaged wing tip, took photos of the model out in this morning's sun. Big smile, brought it inside, showed it to wife saying: "Made from aluminum cans!" Her response: "Whataya gonna do with it?" Smile gone. Bob |

DC-3 arriving from another dimension. Mighty shiny, though! Well done.
