Thanks, Michael and Reynolds. The intake duct (inner) skin part matches well with the exterior, camouflaged, skin parts. I did paint both parts near the intake face, so that any misalignment would not be too obvious.
The left intake was assembled using a slightly different sequence, with much the same result. |

Meticulous build-up of the air intakes Ricardo. In terms of fitting the quality of the model seems really fantastic. I personally find that very satisfying - as a builder you can put your trust in it, rather than having to watch your back all the time, as a matter of saying.

You put a very important point, Erik: trust! Yes, when modeller feels, with his own work, that the designer put a lot of effort in easing the assembly task, that makes a difference!
Matting the wings to the fuselage was trickier than expected. The link is made through two wires on each side. I found out that both had to be slightly bent to get a good alignment, both longitudinally and vertically. An iterative process was needed to shape the wires like a gentle S, not equal to all wires. The kit provides large parts that cover the joints and any misery below them. Anyway, the fit is very good, including where the wing leading edge meets the fuselage. |

Wing to fuselage looks like a perfect fit.

Amazing how well the parts fit. The kit may be designed well, but it is still the skill of the builder to produce a quality build.

Thanks for the comments, friends
The model is almost complete. Today’s pictures show the landing gear doors, the pylons and the ordnance. |
