Oh forgot, sorry SIWI. this illustrates your point that you get caught up in tons of modifications of a stock kit. There are possible mods I considered while editing this kit but had to stop before I blew an overload fuze!

Funny you ask. I have tons of false starts and when I was just so close I had some glaringly wrong details on the conversion that set me back to square one. I feel like Tom Cruise in edge of tomorrow: design...build...oops, reset! I'll get to posting pics later today, however I think and feel I may have finally got it.

Well done putting in all those contours. I always appreciate the effort to represent the jet engine air intake features, usually tricky with the boundary layer splitter gap.

Finding and nailing the Omega. It has been a build, scrap ,repeat fest for quite some time but finally, Finished. There are a bunch of pics and steps used to show how this was finally built but they may come later. For now...

Card modeling perfection. The outtakes, show I think for the first time what it took to get there. Most of the plastic companies, just re-popped out their F-4E kits and just
swapped decals. Then called it a days work. Ted you went beyond to get it the way you wanted. Jeff |
