Thank you all. The credit for the recoloring goes to Gary (aka MacSongLi ). He is mastering the art of repaint and modifications. I am just the technical advisor, builder, tester and historical buff.

Lift fan section
The Yak 38 had two downward pointing lift jet engines that worked during take off and landing and worked in conjunction with the main engine tilting nozzles.
For this build, I decided to start with that section first. Here is the structure The red part ( the spinner ) is made of a wood dowel, sanded and painted red. This is instead of the dreaded petal design in the original model. now ready to install in fuselage section 8 ( just aft of the cockpit ) Tope fan face glued bottom exhausts glued. Isaac

Thank you all for the accolades. Issac and I did put a bit of work into this one.
The downward pointing lift jet engines look great. Gary

Lift engines
A bit of more visuals of this planes lift system
The two small lift turbojets were the Rybinsk ED 36 series engines mounted near vertical with a slight forward thrust angle. Powerplant: 2 × Rybinsk (RKBM) RD-38 turbojet engines, 31.9 kN (7,200 lbf) thrust each lift-jets those engines did not tilt and had no vectoring thrust. This was common to a few VTOL and STOL fighter plane projects like the French Mirage Balzac V variant, Short SC1, Republic AP-100 concept and the Mig-23PD ( none went into production ). Fuselage section going aft
here is the lift fan section being mated to the aft section
note the use of glue tabs here. attached I made the cut out for the main landing gear bay. However, that will be inserted next. Otherwise, the mating of the fuselage using the glue tabs will not work. Isaac

Center section continued
This model has multiple internal frames that contain important features of the fuselage.
We have seen the two lift jets section, next going aft will be the landing gear frames. but first, cut out the doors for the main landing gear housing, but do not insert the frames because we are using the glue tab method. In the original model where butt joining is used, each section is independent. add the section going aft here is the main landing gear housing frame assembly insert the frames from behind, going forward ( need to sand the structure so it slides easily ) all in place.
