We resumed building the Getta by adhering the wings with CA glue because of the small gluing area. The tail with its unusual arrangement made by struts was also added. Today I will prepare the floats, windshield and engine struts. A very accurate model.

This week I worked on the RAS-1 engine nacelle, a small and delicate part with many parts. All done with butt gluing without tabs.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The nacelle is provisionally fixed, now we will finish the construction with the struts and upper wing. ![]() |

Well friends, last night we built the upper wing, fixed the nacelle with its struts, adhered small details to the engine and fixed the wing struts. My expectation is to finish building the RAS-1 tonight.

Good work on the RAS-1 and its detailed engine. You seem to be assembling the wings by eye without using a jig.
Because I have been reading about this history of Pan American Airlines, the configuration of these flying boats puts me in mind of the Benoist XIV, which in 1914 began flying passengers beween St Petersburg and Tampa, Florida, and is said to be the first commercial air pasenger service in the United States (R.E.G. Davis claims it was the first scheduled airline in the world, Pan Am: An Airline and its Aircraft, London: Hamlyn Publishing, 1987, p. 2). Don |
