Because I have been reading about this history of Pan American Airlines, the configuration of these flying boats puts me in mind of the Benoist XIV, which in 1914 began flying passengers beween St Petersburg and Tampa, Florida, and is said to be the first commercial air pasenger service in the United States (R.E.G. Davis claims it was the first scheduled airline in the world, Pan Am: An Airline and its Aircraft, London: Hamlyn Publishing, 1987, p. 2).

Don, I would say that the Curtiss flying boats that culminated in the F and MF families and the Benoist are the standards that were followed by all the others. Although I see in the RAS-1 a strong influence from the Machi and Lohner seaplanes.

Thank you very much my friend!

We finished the construction by installing the Struts, this time without the Jig because they are not pronounced angles and due to the precision characteristic of the Atvar models, after everything was dry we installed the cables and the model was finished.

Beautiful! Looks like a wooden canoe with wings, in a good way. Would fit right in with the style of the animated movie The Wind Rises.

Many thanks my friends! I'm glad with words.

Tonight I start the second, more complex and more graceful CAMS 30E

We started work on the CAMS 30E, preparing the cockpit and main fuselage segments with their respective formers. This is a seaplane that is relatively small.
