I'm surprised, they are similar in size. I was expecting a noticeable difference. Thank you for the photos.

Nice build Isaac, as well as your original build with the metallic paper. Gary made a fine rendering, looking very realistic.

Yes, Gary has done a great improvements in re rendering these old models. Many of them do need a repaint using today's tools to bring them to life. Thank you Isaac

Here is the very pronounced large ventral aft fin. It also acted as a tail bumper in case of over rotation.

because this is the second build of this model, I am dispensing with the landing gear details and just posting the finished pictures here.

She looks good with the landing gear on. It does add detailing.

Isaac, I'm assuming that you'll be vaccuforming a canopy for this kit? I believe that you had purchased a canopy for you earlier build.

Since this is a second time, I am building the model, I do not have a spare canopy. So I will make a new one.
Here is the paper canopy as a dry fit. ![]() I made a new Plaster of Paris mold. ![]() Here is the vacuforming setup and making ![]() ![]() The canopy is done. ![]() next, I immerse the canopy in a new floor wax I purchased ( similar to my old Future which is no longer made ). ![]() ![]() after soaking for a few minutes, it is placed on sticks to dry ![]() then cover it overnight ![]() ![]() Isaac
