and a 707 here. The AWACS planes are based on the 707 and not on the C-135 and therefore have the wider fuselage.

This is absolutely correct. I flew the original when I was a navigator in the 4950th Test Wing, Wright Patt AFB, well after the Apollo glory days. We just used it as a trainer and were specifically forbidden from flying the "profile." It still had the zero-g generators which were the only modification needed to make it do its thing!

Well, then the KC-135 from Bob Bendorf should work. It has the correct shape and profile of the 135.

You'll just have to paint it. When I flew it, the airplane had white upper and grey lower fuselage.

so the KC-135 is a B717 and VC is a B707 is that correct?
how do i download Bob Bendorf's B707?
