Great collection - and variety. Don't you have some Herks also (C-130)? Or, did I miss that post?

Is that a Sky Raider there? I think one is an F-86? Cool. Great work. What are you using for canopies?

The Herks
Dear Yogi, and CT,
I enclosed some old file, copied from Thai local internet website, that some of it was once exhibited at Royal Thai Air Force museum. For CT, please kindly read how to make the canopy from my Lockheed F-16 Fighting Falcon article in aviation section. Thank you |

These are wonderful. They capture the curves of the real aircraft better than some larger models do.

I don't know what impresses me more: The craftsmanship, size, or the shear numbers of the models. Truly great work Chaiwat!!!
I did a little look-up on the Royal Thai Air Force and some of the aircraft that service flew. Apparently, five RTAF flew Ki-27's against eight USAAF P-51's and nine P-38's. Wiki entries vary as to whether one P-51 was downed and one P-38 was damaged, or vice versa (the Wiki article on the Ki-27 has the P-38 lost - Nakajima Ki-27), but all Ki-27's were lost in the engagement. Also a RTAF Ki-43 shot down one B-29: Royal Thai Air Force Mike

Dear Bomarc,
Thank you very much for your kind recommendation, of course, I read about this part of RTAF history also. This means I have to work for Ki-27 and, probably P-38 and B-29. I am not sure about Ki- 43 history because the Japanese support for this type of aircraft was ? but let me check for the data then I will also make it by CAD. It should be an exciting air combat diorama!!!! Chaiwat Kosatanakom Bangkok, Thailand |
